Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is an investigational cell therapy consisting of allogeneic umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ucMSCs) developed by China Medical University Hospital. It is specifically being evaluated as a rescue treatment for severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in extremely premature infants. The therapy is administered via intratracheal instillation. ucMSCs are hypothesized to exert therapeutic effects through paracrine signaling and direct cell-to-cell contact, which help prevent alveolar growth arrest, mitigate lung inflammation, and promote tissue repair and regeneration in the developing lungs of neonates.
