Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell extract is a cell-free biologic product derived from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs). Developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, it is primarily investigated for the treatment of thin endometrium, a condition characterized by an endometrial thickness of less than 7 mm, which often leads to infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss. The extract contains a complex mixture of bioactive factors, including growth factors (such as VEGF, HGF, and IGF-1), cytokines, and extracellular vesicles (exosomes). These components work synergistically to promote endometrial cell proliferation, stimulate angiogenesis, modulate the local immune environment, and reduce fibrosis, thereby increasing endometrial thickness and improving uterine receptivity for embryo implantation.
