Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UMC119-06-05 + hyaluronic acid is an investigational combination therapy consisting of allogeneic human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) and a hyaluronic acid carrier. Developed by U-Stem Biomedical, the treatment is intended for patients with knee osteoarthritis. The UC-MSCs (UMC119-06-05) exert therapeutic effects through the secretion of trophic factors that promote cartilage repair and suppress synovial inflammation. Hyaluronic acid acts as a lubricant and a structural scaffold, enhancing the retention and biological activity of the injected stem cells within the intra-articular space.
