Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Frontier Medicines is developing a small-molecule program targeting a historically 'undruggable' transcription factor. Transcription factors are proteins that regulate gene expression by binding to specific DNA sequences, but they often lack the deep hydrophobic pockets required for traditional small-molecule binding. Frontier utilizes its proprietary chemoproteomics platform to identify novel binding sites on these proteins, aiming to develop therapeutic candidates for diseases where these factors are dysregulated. This program is currently in the discovery stage, with specific targets and indications not yet disclosed.
