Uni-GLP

Uni-GLP is a recombinant exendin-4 injection that acts as a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA). Developed by Uni-Bio Science Group, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Its mechanism involves stimulating insulin secretion, inhibiting glucagon release, decreasing appetite, and slowing gastric emptying, thereby regulating blood glucose levels and promoting weight loss. Uni-GLP is biologically expressed, offering a stronger affinity to the GLP-1 receptor, improved stability, enhanced bioactivity, and lower immunogenicity compared to chemically synthesized alternatives. It is also being investigated for potential applications in obesity, cardiovascular disease, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, Alzheimer's disease, and COVID-19.
