Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UniCAR02-T-pPSMA is a novel, switchable universal CAR T-cell therapy developed by AvenCell Therapeutics, a company formed by Blackstone Life Sciences, Intellia Therapeutics, and Cellex Cell Professionals (through its subsidiary GEMoaB). This drug is a combination of genetically modified T-cells (UniCAR02-T) and a recombinant antibody derivative (TMpPSMA). The UniCAR platform, originating from GEMoaB, allows for controlled and reversible targeting of cancer cells. The therapy is designed to target Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA)-positive solid tumors, including castration-resistant prostate cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and triple negative breast cancer. Intellia's CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology is utilized in the broader platform for developing allogeneic CAR T-cell therapies.
