Overview

Unicenta is an investigational pharmaceutical drug developed by Unimed Pharmaceuticals. It is an injectable placental extract being studied for the treatment of menopausal syndrome. Clinical trials have shown it to be non-inferior to Melsmon, another placental extract, in improving menopausal symptoms as measured by the Kupperman index. Its therapeutic effects are believed to stem from its rich composition of biological components, including vitamins, minerals, proteins, peptides, cytokines, and hormones.
