Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Uniflu with Vitamin C is an over-the-counter (OTC) combination medication developed by Phoenix Laboratories for the symptomatic relief of the common cold and influenza. The product is formulated as a dual-tablet system consisting of a multi-active tablet (containing paracetamol, diphenhydramine hydrochloride, phenylephrine hydrochloride, and caffeine) and a separate vitamin C (ascorbic acid) tablet. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic to reduce pain and fever; phenylephrine hydrochloride is a decongestant that relieves nasal and sinus congestion; diphenhydramine hydrochloride is an antihistamine that alleviates runny nose and sneezing while suppressing cough; caffeine is a mild central nervous system stimulant included to counteract drowsiness; and vitamin C serves as an antioxidant supplement to support immune recovery. It is approved and marketed in Ireland and Malta.
