Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UniFluVec is a universal influenza vector vaccine being developed for prophylaxis against various influenza types and subtypes. It is an attenuated vaccine that functions as an immunostimulant. The vaccine is administered intranasally and has demonstrated full attenuation in ferrets, causing no clinical symptoms, weight loss, or fever when administered at a dose of 7.8 log10 EID50/animal. Studies have shown that UniFluVec provides heterosubtypic protection against influenza viruses, with a single immunization showing comparable efficacy to double vaccination and superior protection compared to control viruses with intact NS genomic segments.
