Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Universal BCMA CAR-T** is a non-proprietary descriptor for allogeneic, off-the-shelf chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapies engineered to recognize **B-cell maturation antigen** on plasma cells. It does not identify one unique drug product: multiple distinct development programs use this target and allogeneic CAR-T architecture, including products evaluated in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma and autoimmune diseases. These cell therapies are generally manufactured from donor-derived T cells and genetically engineered to reduce graft-versus-host disease and evade host-mediated rejection while enabling CAR-mediated elimination of BCMA-expressing cells.
