Orlance's universal coronavirus vaccine is a preclinical DNA-based vaccine candidate designed to provide broad protection against multiple coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2, and MERS-CoV. The vaccine utilizes Orlance's proprietary MACH-1 (Micro-particle Accelerated High-speed) epidermal delivery platform, which uses a "gene gun" to deliver DNA-coated micro-particles directly into the skin's immune-rich layers. This approach aims to induce both robust systemic and mucosal immunity, potentially offering a more durable and cross-reactive defense compared to traditional intramuscular injections. The program is currently in the preclinical discovery and feasibility stage.
