Overview

Universal Influenza is a preclinical-stage gene therapy program being developed by GenVivo for the prevention and treatment of influenza infections. The program utilizes GenVivo's proprietary non-integrating viral vector platform, which is designed for systemic delivery. The therapeutic objective is to provide broad-spectrum, "universal" protection against multiple strains of the influenza virus, potentially overcoming the limitations of traditional seasonal vaccines that require annual reformulation due to viral antigenic drift. By delivering genetic material that encodes for conserved viral antigens or protective factors, the therapy aims to elicit a durable immune response capable of neutralizing diverse influenza variants.
