UNNUS (also marketed as UNNUS 40) is a topical dermatological ointment containing 40% zinc oxide, developed and manufactured by the Mexican pharmaceutical company Industria Farmacéutica Andrómaco. It is indicated for the treatment of dermatitis, minor skin wounds, eczema, and erythroderma. The product functions by creating a physical protective barrier over the skin, which helps to reduce inflammation, irritation, burning, and itching. Additionally, it provides mild antiseptic effects to help prevent secondary infections in damaged skin areas. UNNUS is approved for marketing in Mexico.
