Untransduced NK cells are **primary human natural killer (NK) cells** that have not been genetically modified or transduced with viral vectors or transgenes. NK cells are innate lymphoid cells recognized for their **ability to mediate cytotoxic activity against virus-infected and malignant cells without prior antigen sensitization**. They exert their effects via direct cytolysis using lytic granules (containing perforin and granzymes) as well as by producing cytokines such as IFN-γ and TNF-α. Unlike transduced NK cells (such as CAR NK cells), untransduced NK cells are typically used as negative controls in experimental immunotherapy development or as native cell therapy products. They are of interest in research and clinical trials for their **role in antitumor immunity and immunotherapy approaches** in the treatment of hematological malignancies and infections[1][2][3][4].
