Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Uracanqing is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of gout and hyperuricemia. Formulated as granules, it is composed of several herbal ingredients known in TCM for their ability to clear heat, resolve dampness, and activate blood circulation. The preparation works by lowering serum uric acid levels through the inhibition of uric acid production and the promotion of its renal excretion. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, making it effective for managing both acute gouty arthritis attacks and chronic hyperuricemia. As a hospital-made preparation (院内制剂), it is approved for clinical use within the developing institution and is a staple of their rheumatology department.
