Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Uralbu is an oral urinary alkalizer marketed by MMC Pharmaceuticals (formerly MMC Healthcare). It contains disodium hydrogen citrate as its active ingredient. The medication is primarily used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs) by neutralizing excess acid in the urine, which helps relieve the burning sensation during micturition. It is also indicated for the management of kidney stones (urolithiasis) and gout, as it promotes the dissolution of uric acid stones and prevents their recurrence by maintaining an alkaline urinary environment. Uralbu is commonly prescribed for symptomatic relief in patients with dysuria and is part of MMC's Urocare and Ferticare product lines, often used to manage urinary symptoms during pregnancy.
