Urapidil Kalceks is a generic small molecule antihypertensive agent developed and manufactured by Kalceks. It features a unique dual mechanism of action, acting as a peripheral alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist and a central 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1A (5-HT1A) agonist. The peripheral antagonism leads to vasodilation and reduced peripheral resistance, while the central agonism prevents the reflex increase in sympathetic tone typically associated with vasodilators.
