Drug intelligence / Profile preview
URIFINE-B6 is an oral syrup formulation developed and marketed by Invision Medi Sciences, an Indian pharmaceutical company. It is a combination product typically containing potassium citrate, magnesium citrate, and pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6). The product is indicated for the management of kidney stones (urolithiasis), renal tubular acidosis, and hypocitraturia. The citrate components function as systemic alkalizing agents that increase urinary pH and citrate levels, which inhibits the crystallization of stone-forming salts like calcium oxalate and uric acid. Pyridoxine is included to reduce the endogenous production of oxalate by acting as a cofactor for the enzyme alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase. As a product of a PCD (Propaganda cum Distribution) pharma model, it is a branded generic version of a well-established therapeutic combination.
