Overview

This is a **combination therapy** investigated as treatment for cancer, particularly esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The regimen consists of a multi-peptide cancer vaccine containing five tumor-associated antigen peptide epitopes—derived from up-regulated lung cancer 10 (URLC10), TTK protein kinase (TTK), KOC1 (insulin-like growth factor II mRNA-binding protein 3), vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1), and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2)—administered together with **cisplatin** and **fluorouracil**. The vaccine is designed to induce cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses against tumor cells expressing these antigens, stimulating an immune-mediated antitumor effect. The combination with cisplatin and fluorouracil, both standard chemotherapeutic agents, aims to potentiate antitumor activity via both immunological and cytotoxic mechanisms. Clinical trials have demonstrated safety and immunological activity for the peptide vaccine with chemoradiotherapy in ESCC, with evidence of cytotoxic T cell induction and complete responses in a subset of patients[1][3][7].
