The URLC10 + VEGFR1 + VEGFR2 peptide vaccine is a therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by the University of Tokyo and OncoTherapy Science for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The vaccine consists of three synthetic peptides—URLC10-611, VEGFR1-1084, and VEGFR2-169—which are restricted to the HLA-A*2402 allele. By targeting URLC10, a cancer-testis antigen highly expressed in lung cancer, and the vascular endothelial growth factor receptors 1 and 2 (VEGFR1/2) expressed on tumor-associated endothelial cells, the vaccine aims to induce a robust cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response that simultaneously attacks the tumor cells and inhibits tumor-induced angiogenesis. Clinical evaluation has primarily focused on patients with refractory NSCLC who have failed standard chemotherapy, often administered in combination with incomplete Freund's adjuvant.
