Urochloa mutica pollen extract, derived from Para grass, is a biologic allergenic extract used for the diagnosis and treatment of IgE-mediated allergic diseases. It is primarily indicated for use in diagnostic skin testing (such as skin prick tests) to identify specific sensitivities and as part of allergen-specific immunotherapy (hyposensitization) for patients with allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and seasonal asthma. The extract works by gradually desensitizing the patient's immune system through repeated exposure to the allergen.
