Drug intelligence / Profile preview
"Ursa tab. 200mg & CnU placebo cap. 250mg" is a co-administration regimen consisting of the active drug Ursa (ursodeoxycholic acid, 200 mg) and a matching placebo capsule (250 mg) for the investigational drug CnU. This regimen is used as the active comparator arm in a Phase 4 clinical trial (NCT07005752; MMP-401) sponsored by Myungmoon Pharm to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CnU (a combination of chenodeoxycholic acid and ursodeoxycholic acid) in patients with cholesterol cholelithiasis (radiolucent cholesterol gallstones). Ursodeoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring hydrophilic bile acid that acts as a litholytic agent by reducing biliary cholesterol saturation, thereby promoting the dissolution of cholesterol gallstones.
