Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination drug consisting of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), a synthetic bile acid, and Qingre Lidan Pian, a traditional Chinese medicine formulation. Ursodeoxycholic acid increases bile flow, reduces cholesterol saturation in bile, and dissolves cholesterol gallstones. It also has immunomodulatory and cytoprotective effects on hepatocytes. Qingre Lidan Pian typically contains herbal ingredients such as rhubarb (Da Huang), capillaris (Yin Chen), and lysimachia (Jin Qian Cao) that promote bile secretion, clear heat, reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and facilitate the expulsion of small stones from the biliary tract. The combination is primarily used for treating cholesterol-type gallstones, cholecystitis (gallbladder inflammation), cholestatic liver diseases such as primary biliary cholangitis or chronic hepatitis with intrahepatic cholestasis, prevention of drug-induced calculi formation, steatorrhea after ileal resection surgery, and to support overall liver-biliary health[3][5][7].
