Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Ursodeoxycholic acid + thiamine + riboflavin** is an oral fixed-dose soft-capsule combination containing ursodeoxycholic acid 50 mg, thiamine nitrate or mononitrate 10 mg, and riboflavin 5 mg. It is marketed as **Ursa-S** and related Ursa products by Daewoong for improvement of liver function in chronic hepatic disease and symptoms associated with hepatic dysfunction, including fatigue, dyspepsia, and anorexia. Ursodeoxycholic acid is a hydrophilic bile acid that improves bile composition and bile flow, reduces bile-acid-mediated hepatocyte injury, and has cytoprotective and anti-apoptotic effects; thiamine and riboflavin support intermediary energy metabolism as vitamin B cofactors. The exact three-component product was studied in a completed Phase 4 fatigue trial in patients with elevated liver-function tests and or fatty liver disease.
