Overview

USP32 small interfering RNA (siRNA) is an experimental RNA interference (RNAi) agent designed to silence the expression of the ubiquitin-specific peptidase 32 (USP32) gene. USP32 is a deubiquitinating enzyme that is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), where it correlates with poor prognosis. By targeting USP32 mRNA for degradation, the siRNA reduces USP32 protein levels, which subsequently leads to the destabilization of its substrates, such as Bcl2-associated athanogene 3 (BAG3). The downregulation of the USP32-BAG3 axis results in the inhibition of the RAF-MEK-ERK signaling pathway, thereby suppressing tumor cell proliferation, migration, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).
