Overview

UTAA09 is an allogeneic anti-CD19 gamma-delta chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy developed by PersonGen BioTherapeutics. It consists of engineered gamma-delta T cells expressing a CAR that targets the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19. Upon administration, these cells selectively bind to and kill tumor cells expressing CD19 through immunologic cytotoxicity and T lymphocyte replacement mechanisms. The therapy is being investigated primarily for relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and various autoimmune diseases such as dermatomyositis, scleroderma, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, and primary biliary cholangitis. Clinical trials are ongoing in China for both hematological malignancies and autoimmune disorders[1][2][3][4][5][7].
