utidelone + gemcitabine

Utidelone + gemcitabine is a combination chemotherapy regimen being investigated for the treatment of unresectable advanced pancreatic cancer. Utidelone is a genetically engineered modified analogue of epothilone that functions as a microtubule-stabilizing agent with a mechanism similar to taxanes but potentially overcoming taxane resistance. Gemcitabine is a well-established deoxycytidine analog that primarily inhibits DNA synthesis by competing with deoxycytidine triphosphate for incorporation into DNA, leading to chain termination and apoptotic cell death. This combination is currently in a Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT05795920) for advanced pancreatic cancer, aiming to evaluate its efficacy (PFS, OS, DOR) and safety.
