utidelone + toripalimab is a combination therapy consisting of utidelone, a genetically engineered epothilone derivative, and toripalimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. Utidelone acts as a microtubule-stabilizing agent, inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis by binding to tubulin, while toripalimab functions as a checkpoint inhibitor that restores T-cell mediated anti-tumor immune responses. This combination is being evaluated in clinical trials, such as the Phase II study led by Zhongnan Hospital, for the treatment of pretreated recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer, aiming to leverage the synergistic effects of cytotoxic chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
