uTREAT is a first-in-class radioligand therapy (RLT) developed by Curasight that targets the urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR). uPAR is a key functional driver of tumor invasion, angiogenesis, and metastasis, and is expressed in more than 85% of aggressive solid tumors. The therapy utilizes a proprietary uPAR-binding peptide, AE105, as its active ligand to deliver therapeutic radiation directly to tumor cells and the surrounding tumor microenvironment. uTREAT is part of a theranostic platform approach, paired with uTRACE (a uPAR-PET imaging diagnostic) to enable precise patient selection and confirmation of tumor targeting. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for glioblastoma (GBM), with plans for a Phase 1/2 basket trial across multiple aggressive solid tumor indications, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), neuroendocrine tumors (NET), and pancreatic cancer.
