Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UTTA CAR-T is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by Bionoxx for the treatment of solid tumors. It is designed to be used in a sequential combination strategy with mOTS-400s, an oncolytic virus. The mechanism involves the administration of the oncolytic virus, which selectively infects tumor cells and induces the expression of a proprietary "Universal Tumor Targeting Antigen" (UTTA) on the cell surface. Subsequently, the UTTA-directed CAR-T cells recognize and eliminate these newly antigen-positive tumor cells. This approach aims to overcome the challenge of target antigen heterogeneity and the lack of specific targets in solid tumors by artificially inducing a uniform target across the tumor mass.
