Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UWD-01 is an investigational allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Wondercel Therapeutics. It is engineered to target Guanylyl Cyclase C (GUCY2C), a cell surface protein frequently overexpressed in gastrointestinal malignancies, including colorectal, gastric, and esophageal cancers. As an allogeneic ("off-the-shelf") therapy, UWD-01 utilizes donor-derived T cells, potentially offering advantages in scalability and immediate availability compared to autologous CAR-T products. The therapy is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of GUCY2C-positive solid tumors.
