Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UWD-06 is an allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy currently in preclinical development by Wondercel Therapeutics for the treatment of breast cancer. As an allogeneic, or "off-the-shelf," cell therapy, UWD-06 is derived from healthy donor T-cells rather than the patient's own cells, which may allow for more rapid administration and reduced manufacturing costs compared to autologous therapies. While the specific molecular target of the CAR has not been publicly disclosed, the program aims to utilize the cytotoxic capabilities of engineered T-cells to selectively identify and eliminate malignant breast cancer cells.
