Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UWD-19B is an allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Wondercel Therapeutics. It is engineered to dual-target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19, antigens commonly expressed on malignant plasma cells and B-cells. By utilizing an allogeneic ("off-the-shelf") approach, UWD-19B aims to provide a more accessible treatment option compared to patient-derived autologous therapies. The drug is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of multiple myeloma and various autoimmune diseases, where the depletion of pathogenic B-cells and plasma cells is a therapeutic goal.
