Overview

UX-DA003 is an allogeneic cell therapy candidate developed by UniXell Biotechnology for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. It consists of human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived midbrain dopaminergic neural precursor cells. The therapy is designed as an "off-the-shelf" product, utilizing donor-derived cells that are differentiated into neural precursors. Upon transplantation into the patient's brain, these cells are intended to mature into functional dopaminergic neurons, replacing the cells lost to neurodegeneration and restoring dopamine levels in the striatum. This approach aims to provide a scalable alternative to autologous therapies. UX-DA003 has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval for clinical evaluation.
