Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UX-SP001 is a preclinical-stage cell therapy being developed by Shanghai UniXell Biotechnology for the treatment of spinal cord injury. The therapy consists of human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived spinal cord neural progenitor cells. The mechanism of action involves the transplantation of these progenitor cells into the site of injury to promote neural repair, replace damaged or lost neurons and glial cells, and support functional recovery. Shanghai UniXell utilizes its proprietary technology platforms, including reprogramming, stem cell differentiation, and SISBAR lineage tracing, to develop these specialized neural products.
