Overview

V-1 is an oncolytic virus developed by StingInn LLC, engineered to selectively infect tumor cells and reconstitute the Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) signaling pathway. Many cancer cells exhibit defective STING signaling, which allows them to evade the immune system; V-1 addresses this by replicating within the tumor while simultaneously activating STING to enhance anti-tumor immunity and make the tumor microenvironment highly immunogenic. Preclinical studies suggest that V-1 may work synergistically with immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as PD-1 or PD-L1 blockers, to improve therapeutic outcomes in solid tumors. This approach aims to resolve the paradox in oncolytic virotherapy where the loss of STING in tumors facilitates viral replication but limits the resulting immunotherapeutic effects.
