Drug intelligence / Profile preview
V-6 Immunitor is an orally administered therapeutic vaccine developed by Immunitor for the treatment of atherosclerosis and obesity. It is a tableted preparation containing pooled antigens derived from porcine adipose tissue. The vaccine is designed to modulate the inflammatory response associated with metabolic diseases and atherogenesis. Clinical trial results have demonstrated that V-6 is safe and can lead to significant increases in HDL cholesterol levels and reductions in body fat indices, such as waist, mid-arm, and thigh circumferences, without necessarily changing overall body weight or BMI. It is positioned as an anti-atherogenic immune intervention.
