V200 is an oncolytic poxvirus designed for the treatment of solid tumors. As an oncolytic virus, it is engineered to selectively infect, replicate within, and lyse malignant cells, thereby releasing tumor-associated antigens and inducing immunogenic cell death (ICD). This process triggers a systemic antitumor immune response by activating dendritic cells and promoting the infiltration of cytotoxic CD8+ T cells into the tumor microenvironment. In preclinical studies, V200 has demonstrated synergistic efficacy when combined with tumor-conditional interleukin-15 (pro-IL-15) superagonists, leading to enhanced interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) production and significant regression of both local and metastatic tumors, including models of colorectal cancer and melanoma.
