Overview

V2502 (also known as PRG2502) is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). It is being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell lineage malignancies, including multiple myeloma, B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and plasma cell leukemia. The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR that recognizes BCMA, a protein highly expressed on the surface of malignant B cells and plasma cells. Once re-infused into the patient, these modified T cells specifically target and eliminate BCMA-expressing tumor cells. V2502 is currently undergoing clinical evaluation in a Phase 1 dose-escalation study to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary antitumor activity.
