Overview

V2ACT is a proprietary combination immuno-oncology therapy developed as a joint venture by Genelux Corporation and TVAX Biomedical. It consists of two main components: Olvi-Vec, an oncolytic viral immunotherapy, and TVAX Immunotherapy, a vaccine-enhanced adoptive T cell therapy. The rationale behind this combination is to leverage the immune-stimulating effects of both modalities—Olvi-Vec induces an acute inflammatory response in cancer tissue, increasing its receptivity to immune attack, while TVAX Immunotherapy generates neoantigen-specific T cells that target cancer cells. This dual approach aims to transform non-immunoreactive ("cold") tumors into immunoreactive ("hot") ones with increased infiltration and killing by cancer-specific T cells. V2ACT is being investigated primarily for pancreatic cancer but has potential applicability across various solid tumors resistant to standard immunotherapies[2][5][7].
