Drug intelligence / Profile preview
V3-Pro-750 is a pH-responsive peptide-based imaging probe designed for the detection and identification of pancreatic cancer. It is a modified version of the V3 peptide, optimized to target the highly acidic tumor microenvironment (TME) characteristic of pancreatic tumors (specifically pH ~6.6). The peptide is conjugated to the near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) dye HiLyte Fluor 750 via a C2 maleimide linkage. V3-Pro-750 is utilized in multispectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) and fluorescence imaging to provide high-contrast visualization of tumors compared to healthy tissue (pH ~7.4). The modification from the original V3 sequence was intended to increase the dynamic range and sensitivity for identifying the more acidic environments typical of pancreatic cancer cells.
