Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**V540A** is an investigational multivalent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC. It is designed to elicit immune responses against the 9 HPV types covered by the approved GARDASIL®9 vaccine (HPV 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 58) plus additional unique HPV types not covered by GARDASIL®9, with the goal of providing broader protection against HPV-related cancers and precancerous lesions. The vaccine is administered intramuscularly in multiple doses and is being evaluated for safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity compared to GARDASIL®9 in early-phase clinical trials.[3][5]
