Overview

V7-750 is a tumor-targeted imaging agent consisting of a pH low insertion peptide (pHLIP) variant, V7, conjugated to the near-infrared fluorescent dye HiLyte 750. It is designed to identify the acidic tumor microenvironment (TME) characteristic of solid tumors like pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The pHLIP technology utilizes the acidic pH of the TME to trigger a conformational change in the peptide, leading to its insertion into the cell membrane and subsequent accumulation of the conjugated imaging probe. V7-750 is being evaluated for use in multispectral optoacoustic imaging (MSOT) and intraoperative fluorescence-guided surgery to improve the detection and resection of pancreatic cancer.
