Drug intelligence / Profile preview
V7-CQ is a multi-ingredient prescription formulation and nutraceutical containing extracts of *Cissus quadrangularis*, *Withania somnifera* (Ashwagandha), *Moringa oleifera*, *Boswellia serrata*, and calcium citrate. Primarily developed as an adjunct therapy for chronic conditions like tuberculosis, V7-CQ is designed to address bone density loss and metabolic disturbances associated with long-term infection and treatment. The formulation works through several pathways: *Cissus quadrangularis* promotes osteoblastic activity and fracture healing by stimulating bone morphogenetic protein signaling; *Boswellia serrata* provides anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) enzyme; *Withania somnifera* acts as an adaptogen to manage physiological stress; and *Moringa oleifera* serves as a source of essential micronutrients and antioxidants. Calcium citrate is included to support bone mineralization.
