Overview

V7F-750 is a tumor-targeted imaging contrast agent designed to identify the acidic tumor microenvironment, specifically in pancreatic adenocarcinoma. It consists of a pH low insertion peptide (pHLIP) variant, V7Phe (V7F), conjugated to the near-infrared fluorescent dye HiLyte 750 via maleimide chemistry. The pHLIP technology utilizes the acidity of the tumor microenvironment to trigger the insertion of the peptide into the cell membrane, allowing for targeted delivery of the imaging agent. V7F-750 was developed to improve the solubility and signal intensity compared to earlier variants like V7-750. It is intended for use with multispectral optoacoustic imaging (MSOT) and near-infrared fluorescence imaging to assist in surgical resection and diagnosis by providing high-contrast visualization of acidic tumor tissues.
