V934-EP is a DNA plasmid vaccine encoding a modified version of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT), developed as part of a prime-boost immunization strategy for cancer therapy. It is delivered via electroporation (hence the "EP" suffix) to enhance cellular uptake and immune response. In clinical studies, V934-EP has been administered in combination with V935, an adenoviral vector vaccine also expressing hTERT, to induce anti-tumor immunity in patients with solid tumors. The approach targets hTERT, an antigen commonly overexpressed in cancer cells but not in most normal tissues, aiming to stimulate the immune system to recognize and attack tumor cells[6].
