V941 (also known as mRNA-5671) is a lipid nanoparticle-formulated, mRNA-based therapeutic cancer vaccine designed to target four of the most common oncogenic KRAS mutations (G12D, G12V, G13D, and G12C). The drug encodes antigens containing these mutant forms of the KRAS protein. Upon administration, it aims to stimulate an immune response specifically against tumor cells harboring these mutations by inducing mutant KRAS-specific T cell responses. V941 was developed for use as monotherapy or in combination with pembrolizumab in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), colorectal cancer (CRC), and pancreatic adenocarcinoma that are positive for relevant HLA types. The drug was co-developed by Moderna and Merck & Co[2][5][6][7][8][9].
