Vacc-4x is an investigational **peptide-based therapeutic HIV-1 vaccine** developed by Bionor Immuno. It comprises four engineered peptides derived from conserved regions of the HIV-1 Gag p24 capsid protein and is intended to induce HIV-specific CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses, including cytotoxic T lymphocyte activity against HIV-infected cells. The program has been studied as intradermal immunization with recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and as intranasal vaccination with Endocine adjuvant; it has also been evaluated with latency-reversing or immunomodulatory agents including romidepsin and lenalidomide. Vacc-4x is being developed as part of a functional-cure strategy intended to reduce the latent HIV reservoir and improve viral control in people with HIV-1 infection.
