Vacc-Ct1 is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Immunor, specifically designed for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The vaccine utilizes synthetic peptides to target Cytomegalovirus (CMV) antigens, which are frequently expressed in glioblastoma cells but are absent in healthy brain tissue. By presenting these viral antigens to the immune system, Vacc-Ct1 aims to stimulate a robust, tumor-specific T-cell mediated immune response to identify and eliminate cancer cells. The candidate is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials as part of an immunotherapy approach to treat aggressive brain cancers.
