Vaccination Schedule Seven-University of Oxford-malaria refers to a specific heterologous prime-boost vaccination regimen developed by the University of Oxford's Jenner Institute for the prevention of malaria. This regimen consists of two viral vector vaccines: ChAd63 ME-TRAP (chimpanzee adenovirus 63) and MVA ME-TRAP (Modified Vaccinia Ankara). Both vectors are engineered to express the ME-TRAP antigen, which is a fusion of a multi-epitope (ME) string and the thrombospondin-related adhesion protein (TRAP) from *Plasmodium falciparum*. The 'Schedule Seven' protocol specifically involves a priming dose of ChAd63 ME-TRAP at day 0, followed by two booster doses of ChAd63 ME-TRAP at weeks 8 and 16, and a final booster dose of MVA ME-TRAP at week 24. This approach aims to induce high levels of antigen-specific T cells to target the liver stage of the malaria parasite.
